ABSTRACT
Hannah Arendt contended that Vilfredo Pareto and others promoted violence and that they attempted to provide justifications. However, her account of Pareto’s thinking was fundamentally flawed and massively misleading. This chapter is an explication of Arendt’s misreading of Pareto’s thinking and a defense of Pareto’s political ideas.
