ABSTRACT

There probably is no single answer to the question of what constitutes psychological security. The complex ecosystem of the world’s seas is now under threat, and the people are all beginning to feel the effects of this threat. The sea is also associated with refugees. Others are curious, and their curiosity outweighs their need for security. Finally, swimming in the sea is also an experience that involves many senses. Some captains hardly ever encounter good weather, particularly on stormy seas, while others, taught by experience, prefer to always remain over vigilant. Thus, security will mean that the client is clearly aware of the situation they have found themselves in and is familiar with the resources required to cope in stormy weather. Metaphorically speaking, security and its lack are like the two sides of the same coin. Talking about insecurity is a specific human way of dealing with loss.
