ABSTRACT

This chapter explores socio-cultural and political situation of LGBT+ citizenry in Poland. Polish homo-, bi-, and transphobia are investigated through the lenses of the Fern’s nested model of trauma and attachment, relational Gestalt, minority stress, and attachment theories. Particularly, the state/society/culture is proposed to be the fully-fledged attachment figure for LGBT+ people. Moreover, the moderating effect of homo-, bi-, and transphobia on attachment is also discussed.
