ABSTRACT

After describing the contradictions produced by global economy at the beginning of the new millennium, the author proposes a Gestalt reading of the anthropological and social problems that have emerged. Starting from PHG’s reflections on human nature, a model of “gestaltic anthropology” is outlined capable of grasping insidious aspects of human evolution but also some important vital regeneration guidelines for our species, especially in the critical and difficult period of pandemic. At all times, facing the challenges of complexity, humans often respond with regression, but they also prove to be capable of new and creative strategies. In the “micro” as well as in the “macro”, both in the reserved context of therapeutic session, and in the wider and complex context of our society, Gestalt therapy and its anthropological vision may be valid tools to support the emergence of new possibilities and the creation of “new human forms”.
