ABSTRACT

To contribute to a critical discussion on the various scenes, it seemed appropriate to write a book that also considers the voices of the protagonists of those years. Each chapter will be associated with a conversation with a designer, collective member, politician, local administrator, activist or scholar. The first conversation is with Stefan Forster, Architect, Dipl. Eng. born in 1958 in Rockenhausen, who founded the architectural practice Stefan Forster Architekten in 1989 in Darmstadt. He studied architecture in Berlin and Venice. Following initial experience in Berlin and Mannheim, he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Housing Construction at the Technical University of Darmstadt from 1988 to 1993.
