ABSTRACT
Epic was one of the most successful literary genres in Medieval France. This chapter will study the wording used to describe meals, dishes, fasting, starvation, poisoning and good behaviour at the table in the fourteenth-century epic poem Baudouin de Sebourc, artificially linked to the Crusade Cycle.
