ABSTRACT
This chapter theorises fleeting disconnections in the goodbye process. Via a collection of vignettes, the relational complexities of human and non-human actants are reconceptualised as fluid assemblages of relational architecture, moments in time and space, and the rich agency embodied in these supposedly mundane acts of belonging, connection, and care.
