ABSTRACT

The reaction to Covid-19 was based on information, awareness raising, and changing behaviour. How does a small population in the Northern Atlantic react to the challenge and guarantee that all its population receives the important message regarding the pandemic? Information is aid, and in the case of Covid-19, it is lifesaving aid. The challenge of reaching everyone is real and important as the virus respects no boundaries. When solidarity and harmony dominate the response to a pandemic, it is important that the people who do not speak the native language are not left out, as this Icelandic example explains. Creativity became the key in the process of re-imagining methods of communication to leave no one behind.
