ABSTRACT
“My Tango Life Cancelled” chronicles the milestone experiences of transitioning from a life of touch, embraces, and dance in the Argentine tango community to a solitary touchless life in an upstate New York apartment due to the pandemic. After 56 days without touch and reuniting with a practice partner, Silva discovers that tango is far more than a dance of touch and intimate embraces. After 189 days, she touches her dying sister one last time.
