ABSTRACT

This chapter mainly looks at the changes within the higher education system due to Covid-19 in India. Along with many other areas, the education system has been drastically affected over one year. With the help of data collected from teachers and students of higher education and one’s own experiences of teaching, this chapter discusses the major changes in teaching–learning–evaluation in higher education. Using Bourdieu’s framework on access to digital capital, it explores how inequality prevails in education. It further seeks to understand the effect of online education on female students and what new blended methods can be introduced for effective teaching–learning–evaluation, particularly in higher education.
