ABSTRACT

The national cadet corps has offered its volunteer cadets a national duty to fight the coronavirus disease. In addition, it has accepted the requests of cadets, who have come forward to assist the authorities during these challenging times where the country is fighting coronavirus disease pandemic. The cadets are a trained force, and their uniformity has discipline which makes it easy to assist officers who are already working hard. It plays a very important role in adding discipline to society. It operates under the Ministry of Defence, is the largest uniformed youth organisation in the country and is engaged in conducting various social service and community development activities. The cadets have been contributing to the national affairs during natural calamities like floods, cyclones etc. since its inception. During the pandemic the cadets efficiently works as frontline workers under the various schemes such as Ex-national cadet corps yogdan, run different awareness campaign for taking the preventive measure, installation of aarogya setu application. The cadets have trained with integrated government online training through digital infrastructure for knowledge sharing portals, which helps fight against coronavirus disease.
