Right from the December 2019, the whole world has been in the unprecedented grip of the Corona pandemic. In the initial stages of pandemic, Governments took steps to break the chain of spread by imposing lockdowns. Women in the medical profession met even more challenges on multiple fronts and yet carried on with unflinching commitment. Covid-19 has given a spotlight to the work that nurses have done from the very beginning of the profession as illustrated by Florence Nightingale. Drivers would reach with empty trucks and buses right at the dawn of the day to pick up fresh produce, to deliver to various localities. Student community contributed by building software’s to help critical patients to find hospitals and druggist to supply essential medicines in time. The institutions of Psychiatry and Mental health offered a 24-hour helpline mobile number providing free counseling in any corner of the world. Pandemic dramatically changed the social life of human beings.
