ABSTRACT

Covid-19 has affected day-to-day life and is slowing down the global economy. This, being a new viral disease affecting humans for the first time, vaccines are not yet available. Many countries are locking down their population and enforcing strict quarantine to control the spread of the havoc of this highly communicable disease. Everyone, everywhere is battling the Covid‑19 situation, and some are doing so from a position of glaring disadvantage. The daily-wagers and domestic workers are beleaguered on various fronts, economic, social and emotional, as they dodge the virus as well as the curveballs the crisis throws their way. This virus creates significant knock-on effects on the daily life of house held helpers as well as about the global economy.
