ABSTRACT

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which professes to be the restoration of the faith of the peoples of the Bible, holds that salvation can only be found in bearing the right names and becoming a part of the right (covenant) family. Thus, the system and plan of salvation involves assuming, honoring, and revering certain names; chief among these is the name of Christ Himself. Names also play an important role in the authority and proper use of His priesthood.
