ABSTRACT
This text attempts to address two main questions: First: what do we know about the actual effects of counter-narratives as a means of countering terrorist propaganda? Second: under what conditions can counter-narratives be implemented successfully? The study takes a look at Germany and the experiences acquired there in this field. With this chapter, the author would like to make recommendations to politicians and authorities who are considering or concretely planning the implementation of counter-narratives.
