ABSTRACT

Unprecedented disruptions and crises affecting the wellbeing of people in the workplace and the marketplace since 2020 in the global VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) environment are calling attention to assess old and obsolete resource-based organizational practices and to focus on human centered approaches. To a large extent effective transformation puts people at the helm supported by Quality standards as the operation system to attain solutions. In the last decade Human Centered Management (HCM) books and studies have assessed the impact and emphasized positive effects of humans at the center. This chapter is a retrospective view of HCM publications, principles and practices embedded in Q initiatives that provide framework and features of the HCM Multiplier Effect. The Multiplier Effects represent continuous improvements in the wellbeing of people in the workplace, the marketplace, communities and societies embedded leading to high performance, productivity and sustainability in challenging times in the VUCA environment. HCM Multiplier Effects respond to increasing demand for management improvement putting people's wellbeing at the center of progress.
