ABSTRACT

Tribal communities represent the most vital social category in the social structure of Indian society. Tribes live in remote inaccessible areas. The indigenous people of India, namely, tribes are isolated from the vast cultural influences and they adapted the method of simple technology. Culture is a social phenomenon. It is universally concentrated. Indian maintains unity in diversity. Preservation of culture is a vital nature of Indian society. Culture of tribe is the unique identity of the tribal population. Modernisation, industrialisation and globalisation are the gifts of science and technology. It has a vital impact in every sphere of life. Its aim is to make the people of world happy in taking account of their social, economic and environmental impact. It works for the eradication of illiteracy, poverty and inequality and make the world happy and prosperous. In 21st century, digitalisation is the gifts of science and technology. Through digitalisation, tribal cultures can be processed by a computer.

But sometimes in the name of development through modernisation, industrialisation and globalisation, tribal society is going through the critical stage of transformation. They are losing their own identity. Revitalisation of tribal culture is very much essential as it revives their identity, heritage, traditions and customs.

The general aim of this study is to know the tribal culture and preservation of tribal culture through digitalisation. The specific aims of this study are to know the tribal culture, need for preserving tribal culture and role of digitalisation in preservation of tribal culture .This study is geared towards the preservation of tribal culture. It helps to understand the tribal culture which is the most important factor of our culture. It is a descriptive study based on certain explorable research questions. The data will be collected through interview schedule and focused group discussion .The study will employ general analysis.
