ABSTRACT
This epilogue ponders the question of difficulty of pursuing justice in the wake of disasters. The pervasive social pressure to be future-oriented, the stigma of social movements, counter-movements by the powerful and the elites, and their slating of economics for equity and fairness challenge the pursuit for justice. The epilogue calls for critical disaster studies that take the issue of systemic power imbalances seriously.
