ABSTRACT

Water, being one of the most important resources, is an intrinsic component in sustaining lives. As per the fact less than 5 percent of fresh water is available to us in the usable form. But for the past few decades, there has been a tremendous change in the usage of water consumption which has affected availability of fresh water badly. Major factors like global warming, rapid urbanization, increased overuse and overconsumption of water have resulted in scarcity of water across the globe. Because of our habits which continue to exploit fresh water resources, there is an urgent need to look for sustainable methods which can account for most of the water usage related activities replacing the use of fresh water. One of the promising solutions in this regard is to implement technology working around the use of grey water. This research will unlock the present-day path towards reusing techniques and areas of grey water in maintaining the sustainability of water resources, specifically concerning the demand of water in the past. Awareness of people and social engagement are two most important factors which need to be considered in reusing the grey water in future.
