ABSTRACT
Educational management connotes the operation of an educational institution which involves the process of planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing activities in school and effectively utilizing educational resources in order to accomplish the school stated objectives. Meanwhile, educational leadership involves working with teachers and providing guidance to teachers towards improving educational processes in schools. Online learning environment is an environment where teaching and learning takes place through the use of computers and internets. Certainly, educational managers and leaders are geared towards using online digital devices in planning education system and coordinating the administration of educational institutions professionally. This chapter provides logical discussions on educational management and leadership in an online learning environment and examines the conceptual similarity of educational management and leadership in an online learning environment. Fervently, an important aspect of the chapter hinges on concepts and attributes of an online learning environment. Likewise, this chapter further outlined challenges encountered by education managers and leaders, while adequate solutions were made on overcoming the challenges of education managers and leaders in an online learning environment.
