ABSTRACT
This chapter presents experiences from successfully building an international project course (called labs in some programs) from scratch, and lessons learned from teaching the course over the past ten years. The course is offered in the professionally accredited Master of Planning program at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. The course includes a mandatory two-week fieldtrip to an Indian city. The chapter includes suggestions for planning educators interested in developing and teaching a similar international fieldwork-based course.
