ABSTRACT
Meaningful feedback is an essential element of assessment of, for, and as learning. Using seven principles of effective feedback as guiding themes, this chapter presents an analytic literature review and proposes several strategies for making feedback meaningful and effective in the online learning environment and in teaching practices regardless of platform. Strategies discussed include using video and audio tools, single point rubrics, peer and self-assessment, scaffolded assessments, and reflective practice.
