ABSTRACT

Bilingual education aims to teach students in two different languages. The approach varies depending on factors such as the teacher’s language skills, the student’s first language, and the bilingual education policy. One of the most common forms of bilingual education in the last decades is the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach, which involves using a foreign language to teach content subjects. However, CLIL should be considered an umbrella term that covers a wide range of program alternatives and learning opportunities. Although this approach is popular, further research is needed to improve bilingual education programs. A comprehensive book that explores teaching methods and successful practices in bilingual teacher education can be an excellent resource for educators, professionals, and students who aspire to become teachers. This book provides practical examples and interdisciplinary strategies to help us better understand the advantages and difficulties of bilingual education in today’s world.
