ABSTRACT

The aim of the chapter is to analyse perceptions of the concept of intrapreneurship in the new age economy. The results of the research in the literature as well as our own determine the formulation of the following conclusions: Motivation and motivators as well as autonomy are strong incentives in the implementation of the intrapreneurship process. A major role for top management to inspire organizational participants to make improvements, new ideas, the possibility for organizational participants to use their own skills, potential and talents, the autonomy of organizational participants in their work - these are key determinants in the process of intrapreneurship. Individual factors of intrapreneurship fostering engagement in intrapreneurial behaviour. Limited access to resources and capital and a lack of motivation in people are the main barriers to intraparticipation in organizations that can cause economic slump, stagnation or lack of competitiveness of enterprises.
