Bilingual teacher education faces challenges, but also exciting opportunities with technology and the importance of multilingualism. Research shows positive results on teacher education programs and new approaches hold promise. Writing analytics tools like Itero can be valuable, but data ethics and literacy must be addressed. Online teaching requires continuous support for understanding of instructional and learning technologies. Inclusive bilingual education provides necessary tools for diverse backgrounds. Technology and pedagogical approaches enhance language education and address educational disparities. Challenges for teachers include continuous professional development and training, culturally responsive teaching, and developing students’ bilingualism and biliteracy. High-quality, culturally responsive education for all is crucial for success in a diverse world, requiring commitment and collaboration from educators, policymakers, and communities.
