ABSTRACT

Although many of us seek wisdom paths that honor the Earth, many pagan traditions – especially European – lie in ruins, their practitioners long extinguished by colonizers and missionaries. Could an updated Hermeticism serve as an Earth-honoring wisdom path that fosters a reenchanted relationship with ourselves, each other, our ailing planet, and the cosmos? This chapter explores the roots and trajectory of Hermeticism forward in time to terrapsychology, the tools of which might serve us for developing a new kind of imaginative gnosis, one that lives in a world of presences always in conversation with us.
