ABSTRACT

Completing a project is often regarded as one of the more difficult parts of the creative process, yet it allows for some of the most bountiful opportunities to learn and grow. It is a movement past our biological fear-based responses into a place of personal discovery and self-actualization. This chapter examines the act of completing a project (specifically, launching an arts business) not only as an essential resource in any creative’s proverbial toolkit but also as a pathway toward forging meaning and a greater sense of one’s essence. Furthermore, each touchpoint includes the accompaniment of a question as inquiries for the subconscious are some of our greatest allies when shepherding an idea to fruition.
