ABSTRACT

In “Working From the Inside Out,” the author introduces us to Mary and proposes that getting things done isn’t always about completing a piece of work or finishing a task. Sometimes, it is more internal, a kind of resetting that feels necessary in order to continue one’s creative journey. The author explains that it can be hard to reemerge with clarity from a period of deep thought and reflection. She highlights the basics of being able to have time to explore ideas freely and to feel listened to and examines how retrospection, review, and reflection can help refresh perspectives and reenergize the creative.
