Institutional constraints for cross-border land planning in Guatemala and Mexico

In this chapter, Federico Morales Barragán analyzes cooperation between Mexico and Guatemala in the twenty-first century in imposing territorial ordering on the cross-border region and examines institutional factors that determine this cooperation in designing and executing territorial organization policies. He also highlights the issues that merit inclusion in a research agenda on Guatemala-Mexico cross-border territorial organization.
