ABSTRACT
This chapter is designed for the students and teachers to read a “literacy narrative” written by an established author. Students grapple with the fact that all authors (new or veterans) have a timeline of events where they learned to read and write, hence their literacy development. There are opportunities for students and teachers to discuss critical reading as well as reflections that lead to more writing. Activity can be modified to suit the students’ needs and their educational landscape.
