ABSTRACT

As a vital constituent of an academic career, writing defines a successful academic as they publish copiously. This paper is a short narrative of the journey of developing my writing style as a doctoral student while writing my doctoral dissertation through all the “pit stops” and “turbo” times. It portrays how I met the epistemological challenges of a feminist poststructural approach to narrative inquiry, the administrative and educational challenges of writing a qualified doctoral dissertation, and of writing reflexively through the courage and passion of my inner voice, hence juxtaposing two different styles in my doctoral dissertation.
