Bricolage as a holistic model for active learning

In this chapter, Sarah Honeychurch introduces a socio-cultural theory called bricolage and shows how this can be used in order to develop a practical framework for active learning that integrates assessment throughout the learning process. When learners are given opportunities to experiment in a supportive environment without fear of failure, Sarah suggests, the learning that emerges can be both deeply meaningful and authentic while also being enjoyable.
