ABSTRACT
This chapter explores ways in which trauma-informed placemaking has taken place within the existing built environment of the contested city of Belfast. Written in 2023, around the time of the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement (10 April 1998) and third anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic and first UK lockdowns, I look at two spatial responses to traumas in the city’s post-conflict, post-pandemic landscape.
