ABSTRACT
Higher education is back in the news, derided for indoctrinating students with Postmodern Neo-Marxism (Peterson), Cultural Marxism (Klass, 2023), and woke, among other increasingly politicized and dubious claims. Florida's governor has begun remaking New College, a long-time bastion of liberalism, into a conservative, Christian college modelled after Michigan's Hillsdale College (Kumar, 2023). One of the new governors parachuted into New College, Chris Rufo, argues that the Right should “steal the strategies and the principles of the Gramscian left, and then organize a kind of counterrevolutionary response to the long march through the institutions” (Goldberg, 2023).
