ABSTRACT

A patient referral is a documentary request from one health professional to another health professional or health service, promising them to diagnose, treat, and transfer a patient for a particular condition for survival or health. It is generally a complex process to transfer the patient from a facility having insufficient resources to a better place by dynamically managing their clinical condition. We use the technology acceptance model (TAM) to test the nurses' clinical responses in a Taiwanese children's hospital patient referral team by embedding augmented reality Augmented Reality (R) technology. Studying results show that these medical professionals view the perceived ease of use as a strong attractor toward the attitude of using AR on-site. Social media addiction harms attitude, and the attitude has a negative impact on behavioral intention. Finally, we discuss the hidden implications and future issues for better research.
