Maya Krishna Rao is a well-known theatre artist and activist based in Delhi. Her solo performance The Walk first came together as a response to Jyoti Singh’s rape and murder. Since then, she has been invited to perform it numerous times in venues that range from protest sites, educational institutions and performance spaces. The Walk has become a formidable part of her theatrical oeuvre.
