ABSTRACT

Advances in digital technology has led to the emergence of a new paradigm of positive health known as Digital Positive Health (DPH). DPH is the application of positive health principles onto digital platforms, which offers a wide range of possibilities for providing wellbeing support to individuals and communities DPH platforms can incorporate health metrics by connecting to wearable devices and can use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve functioning and scalability. A key feature of these platforms is that they focus on the needs of users and actively include them in development, production, and implementation. Techniques derived from business analysis, partnership approaches, and positive technology can aid in the development and implementation of digital wellbeing tools. In addition, coaching, which plays an essential role in positive health, can be digitally augmented to increase scalability, accessibility, and flexibility by using a range of digital tools. This chapter aims to explore how digital platforms, wearable devices, and AI can be used to implement effective positive health interventions.
