ABSTRACT

The current qualitative case study investigates a large-scale international educational development project funded by the European Union, namely the Scandinavian Growth Creators project. Through this Nordic collaboration project, educators, students, and micro-companies jointly focused on educational competency development processes and live casework about business development, new suggestions for innovative solutions, and topical knowledge about market trends directly relevant to the micro-companies. Using live casework in learning designs is both beneficial and challenging for all involved partners. Therefore, it is relevant to address and investigate the value for students and educators engaged in these development processes that can be highly complex and even complicated. The chapter contributes to move these dilemmas forward through the development of a model for working with meaningful learning and sensemaking in large-scale educational projects that can be of benefit in future projects.
