ABSTRACT

The editors provide a brief overview of central concepts of psychology as the discipline of interiority as they relate to the foundational notion of “the soul’s logical life” in the work of Jungian psychoanalyst Wolfgang Giegerich. Aspects of the soul in modernity, including absolute negativity, the need to approach soul psychologically via thought, and the dialectical and historical nature of the soul’s logic are discussed. Finally, the editors explore the psychological difference, contrasting the logic between soul and ego, and provide a brief discussion of each essay included in the volume.
