Exchanges between the Greek world and the Iberian Peninsula from the eighth to the fourth century BC

The extreme west of the Mediterranean was directly involved in all Mediterranean trade in the Archaic and Classical periods: the Peninsula provides the opportunity to explore the relationship between Phoenician and Greek communities. Imported Greek pottery reflects the relations between these communities: tableware plays an essential role – at all times and for all the Greek cities, whereas Greek amphorae – save exceptions in the archaic period – play only a minor role.
