ABSTRACT

Contemporary Chinese Marxism is not only an important theory in the humanities and social sciences, but also in philosophy, including the philosophy of education. This group of papers, organized by EPAT, are all written in English by Chinese scholars, and they focus on the basic academic research of contemporary Chinese Marxism. Their discussions are helpful in exhibiting the extensive research on the basic theory of contemporary Chinese Marxism, and also form a fusion of horizons between the reader and the author, thereby leading the reader to think more deeply on it. Contemporary Chinese Marxism began to pay attention to the issue of value in the early 1980s, when it went through a developmental process from the study of the essence of value to the discussion about the rationality of evaluation, culminating in the focus on values, particularly socialist core values.
