ABSTRACT

During the pandemic, and in line with government recommendations, your company resorted to remote working arrangements for all employees. While initially tough, your teams quickly managed to get to grips with the new ways of working, overcoming challenges, and soon returning to their usual high performance. After several months of lockdown, large-scale vaccination of the workforce, and the gradual decrease in the number of infections and gravity of the cases, the government announced that things could return to normal and employees go back to their former working ways. That was several months ago now. And your company still faces several serious issues. First, many employees actually prefer to continue with remote working; at first disregarding calls from HR to return to the office, and then only coming back begrudgingly. HR has informed you that since the return to normal office hours, absenteeism has increased by a hefty 20%.
