ABSTRACT
The idea for this volume grew out of a project on autoethnographies of pilgrimage, presented by Lizzie (Elizabeth) Lloyd-Parkes and her colleagues at the International Society for Autoethnography and Narrative (ISAN) conference in January 2022. Having worked together before (Lloyd-Parkes et al., 2021), Lizzie invited Alec to join the project a little while later. The idea was that, because of his autoethnographic publishing record, he could take the lead in shaping the work up to journal publishable form. Alec accepted the invitation.
