ABSTRACT
This chapter offers a policy context and rationale for a continuous improvement approach to leadership. Federal policy, state policies, and alignment with the NELP standards and PSEL complement integrating change ideas as well as overcoming barriers related to both existing policy and political context challenges. This chapter will offer suggestions on how the leadership can lean on policy to help mitigate, reduce, or remove improvement barriers.
