ABSTRACT

A young professional woman is up for promotion in the big city when suddenly she has to temporarily relocate to a small town—maybe she gets an assignment from work, or maybe it’s an emergency call from home. She’s needed as part of the local tulip festival, or pumpkin pie contest, or Christmas parade. As she is immersed in small-town community and tradition, she finds herself sparking a romantic connection with a local man—maybe her high school sweetheart, or the local tree farmer. By the time she receives the promotion offer she’s been waiting for, she turns it down—she’s never going back to the city. She’s discovered what’s truly important in life.
