ABSTRACT

This short concluding chapter serves as consolidation and as a summary of our book through a series of reflective questions to stimulate and evaluate learning. The questions are intended to provoke critical reflection on the meaning and utility of each of the seven pillars, in relation to nursing practice and education. This also provides the opportunity for readers to consider any omissions, any pillars they think should be added to structure nurse education curricula in their own cultural contexts. The second set of questions, with hypotheticals, invite consideration of the four CARE themes of the book (curiosity, advocacy, respect, and excellence). We conclude with recommendations that reflection, dialogue and solidarity are necessary at all levels of nurse leadership in practice and education.
