ABSTRACT

This case study, Revitalizing low-season tourism in Zakopane: a case study on green workshops for a small pension/hotel, by Justyna Majewska and Szymon Truskolaski, highlights the problem of seasonality in Poland (leading to over-tourism) and the potential for sustainable tourism initiatives to extend the tourist season (deseasonality), increase revenue, and promote environmental awareness or respond to the need for more environmentally friendly behaviour by tourists in tourist destinations.
