ABSTRACT
This case study, The rising of sustainable tourism in the Canary Islands , by Cristiana Oliveira, Juan Diego López Arquillo, Jose Serrano González and María Cadenas Borges, explores strategies adopted to promote sustainable regional tourism and analyses how the tourism industry can ensure sustainable tourism development in a region whose tourism model has traditionally been sun and sea tourism.
