ABSTRACT
This chapter presents a detailed reading of the International Theological Commission's 2012 document, Theology Today: Perspectives, Principles and Criteria. It argues for the place of theology amongst the “symphony of sciences” in the university. While emphasising the rational and scientific dimension of theology, alongside this, it equally draws attention to the strong ecclesial and faith dimensions of theology.
