ABSTRACT
This chapter details the experience of teaching photography at Westville Correctional Facility in Westville, Indiana as part of the Moreau College Initiative, an academic collaboration between Holy Cross College and the University of Notre Dame in partnership with the Indiana Department of Correction. The limitations of using cameras in prison provided teaching challenges for logistics and photographic content. However, students worked within constraints to make creative photography that was deeply personal, reflecting their experiences and aspirations.
